The Perfect Sweater for Winter

About Me

The Perfect Sweater for Winter

I have lived in the southern United States all of my life. Thankfully, the state I live in doesn’t usually experience much harsh, cold weather during the winter months; however, I do need to bundle up in something warm when heading outside from time to time. Oftentimes, I reach for my favorite sweater. The versatile sweater I’m referring to is a leopard print, cashmere cardigan. I absolutely love the way cashmere feels against my skin. I adore this soft sweater because I can wear it to the grocery store, to church, to the movies, or even to a holiday gathering. On this blog, I hope you will discover the winter clothing staples that look great with any type of outfit. Enjoy!

3 Tips To Make Your Trip To The Laundromat More Efficient

Going to the laundromat probably isn't your idea of a great Saturday, but having clean clothes is a nice thing. So, when you go to the laundromat, you want to be able to get everything cleaned and washed as soon as possible so that you can get home again as soon as possible.

Use Lingerie Bags

There are small mesh lingerie bags that you can use while you are doing laundry. They are designed specifically to go into the washer and dryer. Generally, they are used for things like bras, but you can use them for all kind of things. For example, if you are worried about losing socks, you can wash your socks in one of these bags. Just put your socks in one after you are done wearing them and then when it comes time to go to the laundromat, you can just toss your bag of socks, underwear, bras, or other little things that could get lost in the laundry straight into the basket. It can make it easier on the other end, you won't have to worry about doing things like finding socks to match, they are all right in the bag.

Your laundry is going to be better if you sort colors from white and things that have to be washed in cold water from things that have to be washed in warmer water. You don't want to stand in front of all the washers sorting. So, spend a few minutes at home sorting out your clothes. Put each category into its own bag. That way you know when you grab that bag, you know what the clothes in the bag require. It may seem like you are going to be carrying in a lot of bags, but your clothes will look better in the long run.

If your clothes have any kind of stain on them, you want to make sure that you are going to be able to get all those stains out. That includes pre-treating. You can use a pre-treatment stick. Those sticks generally have no problem with being on the clothes for a few days. So, if you are able to pre-treat the clothes when you take them off, that's good, but that's not always possible. While you are sorting, you can take the time to pre-treat the clothes too. That way you don't have to go through each individual article of clothing in front of the washer.

While going to a local laundromat, such as City Laundry, doesn't seem like a great way to spend your Saturday night, there is the benefit of getting all your clothes washed and dried at once. Making sure that you are doing things that will make the process easier is always good.
